On the Road, Again

I went camping with my brother and dad. First we drove to Portland, Maine. From Portland, we took a ferry. The ferry was big. When we got on, we looked around. There was a playroom, a casino and a lot of places to eat. We went to a restaurant and sat by a window. As we watched the waves crash against the side of the boat I thought, Man, that water looks freezing!

The next morning we were in Yarmouth Canada. It was foggy and so hard to see. Then from Yarmouth we drove to Halifax Canada.  There were tons of trees lining the highway. In Halifax we went to a store to get stuff we needed to camp, like a Frisbee and a headlamp.

Then we were off to Fundy National park on the Bay of Fundy. We spent one night. In the morning we walked down to the beach. There were a lot of skipping stones. I said to my brother, “Look at how flat this rock is.”

After that we packed up and went to Acadia National Park where we spent two nights. We drove up half a mountain and did some cool Parkour before we started home.

Halfway through our five-hour drive back home, I asked, “How long have we been driving all together?”
“About 26 hours when we get home,” my dad said.
I thought, that is a lot of driving!
When we got home I was so relieved to get out of the car and breathe the fresh air.

I love camping with my brother and dad.

The Beach

I went to the beach with my brother and dad. I love the beach. We got there and unpacked and got sunscreen and went into the water. I ran in the water up to my waist and than ran out. I did that a couple more times. That water was cold. I got in my comfort zone by dunking my head underwater. Than I saw my friend, Cole. We played a little bit and then Cole said, "There is a thunderstorm coming!" I thought, I better get out of the water. I told my dad. We went to the showers but my brother asked if we could fly a kite, so we did. There was no thunderstorm while we were there, luckily. It's a lot of fun going to the beach with my brother and dad. There was a thunderstorm after we left the beach.

movie review

I saw a movie called the Transformers. It was about two hours and thirty minutes long. It was hard to sit for that long and concentrate.

The movie was about a dad who is very overprotective of his daughter.

One day, her dad was at work and he found a truck. So he took it home and it ended up to be Optimus Prime, the leader of the Transformers. But there was another Transformer who was trying to kill Optimus Prime and they had a big fight. The dad helped Optimus Prime win. But it was very scary for his daughter.

I recommend this movie to people who can deal with non-stop action.
