On the Road, Again

I went camping with my brother and dad. First we drove to Portland, Maine. From Portland, we took a ferry. The ferry was big. When we got on, we looked around. There was a playroom, a casino and a lot of places to eat. We went to a restaurant and sat by a window. As we watched the waves crash against the side of the boat I thought, Man, that water looks freezing!

The next morning we were in Yarmouth Canada. It was foggy and so hard to see. Then from Yarmouth we drove to Halifax Canada.  There were tons of trees lining the highway. In Halifax we went to a store to get stuff we needed to camp, like a Frisbee and a headlamp.

Then we were off to Fundy National park on the Bay of Fundy. We spent one night. In the morning we walked down to the beach. There were a lot of skipping stones. I said to my brother, “Look at how flat this rock is.”

After that we packed up and went to Acadia National Park where we spent two nights. We drove up half a mountain and did some cool Parkour before we started home.

Halfway through our five-hour drive back home, I asked, “How long have we been driving all together?”
“About 26 hours when we get home,” my dad said.
I thought, that is a lot of driving!
When we got home I was so relieved to get out of the car and breathe the fresh air.

I love camping with my brother and dad.
